The Korean War was the first armed, global conflict in the Cold War between Democratic and Communist states.

Nevertheless, aside from M*A*S*H and a few books and films, the Korean War remains somehow “forgotten” in American culture when compared with literature and films about WWII, the war in Vietnam, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. ~ USATODAY
Unlike WW II, the Korean war didn’t resonate with the public, so movie producers didn’t want to “waste” their A-list actors and directors. One exception was “Pork Chop Hill”
